I say buy. I've thought for a good while now that he'd end up not going into the draft after 1 year, and at this point, I don't know if he's in shape enough to start (or good enough at defense to start for Stansbury). If Sidney is just average to above average by the end of this season, the draft projections will force him to play at least one more season (qualifier: assuming he doesn't shine in the tourney and takes us deep in the NCAAs).

Keep in mind, I think this would be a GOOD thing for Mississippi State. If he plays this season and returns, he (and MSU) can do very well in 2010-2011. Or, with my qualifier, we go deeper in the tourney this year and he goes pro--I'd be happy with that, too.

I think his mind has been made up on being in this draft since the rule went into effect on high schoolers.

I could see him bolting at the end of the year, but unless he is prolific during this second half of the season, id think him leaving would be a mistake- draftwise.

The guy is clearly out of shape, and he hasnt even practiced with the team in a month. He may be an elite talent, but being what looks like 40 pounds over fighting weight cant make such a showing easy.

He hasnt played a minute of game speed defense even, who knows if he is a complete package.

Whats really funny is that if Sidney finds the floor, thatll mean we have yet another post player that will love to drift out to the perimiter to jack up deep shots. He and Kodi will compete for the title of most out of position player on the team. Turner is the defending champ, but that was out of necessity.

He has a lot of work to do with this game, and next year with Varnado leaving he will have a chance to be the man inside for the bulldogs. Plus he is only listed as a 2nd round draft pick on the mock draft sites. Im sure he wants 1st round money.
