I forsee your baseball team having a lot of cuts in the near future. With rosters capped at 35, and the requirement that each player receive a minimum 33% scholarship, you're probably looking at quite a few existing players that will be cut from the team. That may not be a bad thing, but my guess is it means it'll take you a year or two of rebuilding.
I think he did something similar at UK, and they won maybe 7 SEC games his first year. Of course they shared the SEC title his second year. It'll be interesting to see if, who, and how many of your players end up transferring/get cut.
By the way, the newest baseball rules suck. If you were to put all 35 of your roster players on scholarship, and you just gave them the minimum 33%, you'd use up the entire allotment of 11.7 scholarships. I think it works out to 11.67 scholarships used up.
So essentially, for every player you give more than 33% you have one less scholarship player. That's not a huge change, in that a lot of teams have always had a good number of walk ons on the roster, but it's going to make it even more difficult on the coaches.
