But I do think Torbush is done after this year. That should be a very interesting coaching search. Dan has to be able to find someone that can run the defense on their own so he can continue to try and build special teams and continue to try and get the offense to create their own identity. </p>
This whole idea with hiring failed head coaches as defensive coordinator needs to die and stay dead.
Take a pay cut to pay a DC big money. Other than doing something like that we are just taking another risk. I dont the list of top 20 DC's out there, but someone should get that list together and offer one of those SOBs double what he is making now.
I agree. Once a defensive coordinator is a head coach - they usually suck back at coordinator jobs. Its like an engineer I used to work with. He was awesome - they promoted him to a management position and he sucked *** as a manager. They shifted him back to an engineer and he wasn't the same guy. Ended up quitting and trying to start his own thing and that did not go over well.
