I personally think BDJ wins in both. Paul Jones does a great job with recruiting.

I think Paul does a great job on recruiting as far as articles and keeping in touch with prospects, but the ESPN recruiting database informationjust sucks. Not BDJ's fault, they just don't have the support that Scout offers.

...and seems to have more info. BDJ has good interviews, and they are really embarrassing Scout with practice coverage, but in terms of information that people would pay for (i.e. recruiting), I'd take Steve.

On another note, does anybody read David Murray anymore?

...if I've never heard of a kid that BDJ interviews, I have to go check the Scout database. They are just more established.

I'm going to Buy in a big way Scout in recruting because, like someone said, the ESPN database is awful and I do think Rosebowl does a good job for the most part. He's about to take over it as his full time job too. People forget that he has two jobs and this is his second job. I can't imagine how busy the man is.<div>
</div><div>I'm a member on BDJ and it is a GREAT site. Overall I think the site is better, but I only go to scout for recruiting. BDJ does recruiting, player interviews very often, the Coach Speak with Sherrill is always awesome, and they do a good job covering baseball recruiting although I don't really care that much for baseball recruiting.</div><div>
</div><div>I think scout has done a better job of covering the camps as of late. For a while Brett wouldn't even allow any websites to cover camps like Yancy and UM did, but now they can so we will see who's better in that dept. I'm neutral. I think with Rosebowl taking over full time in the coming weeks, Scout will really get a whole lot better.</div><div>
</div><div>Overall I like the BDJ site better, but If I want recruiting news I would ask Steve before Paul, but that is also because I have only been on BDJ for a few months. I do ask Paul alot of questions too. It's just that I relate what Rosebowl says about a prospect to the scout database. BDJ's recruiting database is not good bc it's ESPN's affiliate.</div>

ESPN database sucks! BDJ destroys genespage but if you want to read about a recruit, check team standings, etc... you have to go over to scout. That's the only plus they have though.

I'd often get lost in the middle of a story and wonder what the heck the story was supposed to be about.

50 sentence paragraphs discussing a football practice?

I wondered if I was the only one.

I can't stand reading every article and it sounds like the pilot script for the Andy Griffith Show. There are too many shoulddathunks, shenanigans, geewillikers and Free State of Jones County references. It's 2010 and his verbiage sounds like 1956 Edwards, Mississippi.

has always been A+. The way they lay out who's interested by rankings is great IMO. Even know if a player's name comes up on BDJ that I"m not familiar with, most of the time I look him up on Scout.

However, I hate the sunshine pumping that Gene's page does. I'm not going to pay to be mislead - thats why I get on here..

..I can still go to the BulldogBlitz free site & gain easy & quick assess to all MSU football recruits.

On the other hand, I go to scout.com (Gene's mess) & spend 20 minutes trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

The only knock I have on Rivals is that they give players stars who haven't been ranked yet. I don't understand that. How a guy gets a 3 star but he hasn't been evaluated and given a position ranking. <div>
</div><div>On the other hand Lowery has done a great job over there the past several months. He seems to be pumping out more new info more often and seems he does it all by himself. He shoots great video too.</div>

..I don't pay to read recruiting sites, & I rarely know who a new recruit is when he is mentioned on this board (then I do usually Google scout.com to learn who he is).

But if I want an informative list of MSU commitments & info on what other schools recruited them, etc., I always go to BulldogBlitz free board (a rivals site).

When I try to get info off of gene's site (ie, scout.com), there is too much useless bureaucracy involved.

..but since I am as good at using a computer as you, I really doubt that is it.

But if you want to keep contributing to gene's scout.com clusterf*ck, it's a free country. Don't get mad at me for the choices you make.

I heard ESPN was dropping all of it's individual colleges recruiting sites or have already dropped them because they did not commit the resources to maintaining them. So I think BDJ may be independent.

I think both have their pros. Steve seems to go out on limb more than Paul , but he also gets burned more (Thompson Newton Humphrey) in the bones/biscuits. The database on Scout is top notch whereas BDJ is nonexistent. The photography is awful on Scout and incredible on BDJ. Camp Coverage BDJ > Scout.<div>
</div><div>Question:</div><div>Is David Murray the guy that always wears the turtlenecks and balding? If not who is that guy always running around?</div>

..& I answered it. End of story.

Believe me, after seeing you make an *** of yourself over this, I'll stay out of your multiple choice traps from here on out.

I'll just sit back & watch you continue to be sixpackspeak.com's #1 concern troll.
