After two good SEC wins and a team coming to the Hump that is supposed to be inferior, Does the team have a let down (in typical MSU fashion) and lose to Georgia?

I say sell...i want to buy because i have seen it happen before, but i think that we carry the momentum and pick up the w.

is us being a little tired. We were spent at the end of the game last night.

I'm particularly worried about Dee. He has, supposedly, been sick and he looked to battling leg cramps late in the game last night.

Georgia is a young team, and I dont think they can play at the level they played the last 2 games vs UK and Ole Miss. I see us jumping on them early and coasting to a double digit victory.

our coasting involves the other team coming back like last night.

i'd much rather us turn up the pressure and smoke them for a double digit victory. i know it's just a difference of words but i believe our "coasting" is not very good at keeping a large lead.

let the boy rest up and spend the day drinking juices and watching Dexter's Laboratory. He'll be fine tomorrow.

i agree we need to jump on them early. they have to already be down somewhat after the two previous losses. we just need to beat them down early and give them no chance to catch a spark.

but I still remember a few years ago when we let South Carolina slip up on us. It seemed like our guys were real tired by the end of the game last night. It also looked like we had a few guys limping around. The bench is going to have to step up if we are going to beat Georgia. Lewis is going to have to wake up to the college game and start playing well so we can rest Jarvis for a few more minutes.

is that Varnado will be guarding UGA's best player all day. Thompkins is the man on UGA's team, and I think you just might have someone that's able to counter him.

It'll be a good audition for Varnado's NBA draft chances, because Thompkins is a bigger body, like the ones Varnado will face in the NBA. If he can neutralize Thompkins like I think he will, it'll help his draft status.

I think we come out tomorrow and win by at least 15. Like Stansbury said last night, the guys heard all week about how good they were after beating Ole Miss and how much Arkansas sucked. That was the classic trap game. It will be tough to ignore us in the polls at 15-3 and 3-0.......of course they will probably credit our wins to Ole Miss and give us their UT loss.

I'd be more worried about us being out of sync in Tuscaloosa next Saturday after a week off than being tired tomorrow after Thursday night's game. It's basketball. These guys used to play two or three games a day during the summers going through the AAU ranks. The NCAA Tournament is scheduled on a Thursday/Saturday and Friday/Sunday format. This same team won four games in four days last year in Tampa. Fatigue shouldn't be a factor nor should it be an excuse.

If we lose Saturday, it'll be from a lack of effort or poor shooting. Or perhaps Georgia's options with size in the paint. There's no reason our team should lack energy. We should be in mid-season form, because... well, it's the middle of the god damn season.

I think the way we played in the second half will keep us from having a letdown. If we had ended up blowing them out like it looked like we would for a little while, then I would think tomorrow would have major trap potential. I think the scare last night should end up being good for us tomorrow.

Like corch, I think with only one day of rest, we could possibly be in trouble. I think we will win, but I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't.

Arkansas is a pretty good team. I think we'll look back at our performance last night and take away a lot of positives. With Varnado and Bost battling illnesses, we still pulled out a tough W. Arkansas could also see a good conference record now that Fortson is back.

we played an up-tempo game and used a helluva lot of energy doing it. We were done at the end- 2 more minutes of game, and they would have won I think. shot airballs down the stretch, our legs were shot.

The short turnaround of a day and a half COULD play a factor. Not saying it WILL.

This is an issue squarely laid on preparation. It's mid-January. Our conditioning in practice should have us ready for this. Those are 18-22 year old legs you are talking about. We shouldn't be fazed after an entire day off. It's no excuse. If we come out tired and sluggish, that's on Stansbury.

that several guys were sick in the days leading up to last night's game. That could definitely explain that.
