Buy.....
If you can't see it you are blind. Where are all the haters now? In his first year he is averaging 13.3 points and 8.3 rebounds in SEC play, let that sink in...
Let's hope he and Dee come back next year........

Well he has potential, but I would take L. Roberts as a Junior over him. Now if he continues to work hard for the next year, I say he will pass him up.

pure talent yes. He is far from our best ever player though. If he ever learns to give the controlled effort to go with that talent then the sky is the limit for him. He has a way to go.

Bailey Howell...it isn't even close.
Jeff Malone....if only he had a 3pt line. He would hold every scoring record at State.
Dontae Jones....Jones help whip one the greatest teams ever at UK. Shug got whipped by one of UKs least teams.

He averaged 25.9 in his first year. His second and third years, he averaged 27.8 and 27.5, both good for #4 in the country, behind guys named Oscar Robertson, Elgin Bailey, and Wilt Chamberlain. He had a 47 point game and a 34 rebound game.

if he'd played after the three point line was brought to the college game?

How many times did you watch him rub off a double screen and bomb one from beyond the top of the key?

We really should not have kicked him off the team...

Malone would have averaged 30/game with a 3 pt line...but good lord- what would Maravich have done with it? Nobody will ever beat his scoring records even with it- the NBA has made sure of that.

Biggest sell ever!! Obviously you have the inability to watch him play defense. You must watch him play offense then turn your head and comment about how amazing he is while he's playing defense. Did you not watch the Kentucky game? ESPN couldn't have shown you any better how horrible Sidney is on defense and hustling. In fact I'd say Steele has been the better of the two so far. No problems from Steele, hustles, plays solid D, doesn't turn the ball over, above average offensively, true freshman not suspended sophomore. Sidney is a *****.

he wasn't a good 3-point shooter in the NBA. He onlymade about 27% of his 3-point shots for his career. But you're right that if he'd had the NCAA 3-point line when he played, he'd have averaged close to 30 ppg his SR season.

Sell: He's not even the most talented person on his current team. If I had a choice of one of the two coming back next year, Id take Bost over Sidney easily. Talented means on both sides of the court and Sidney sucks defensively. Offensively, he may be talented but overall, no way. Right now, Id even take Charles Rhodes over Sidney.

He's the most talented I've ever seen at State. Renardo has NBA all-star potential if he ever gets his head on straight. Stans is right that there aren't many guys out there with his size and talent.

He went up in flames once he hit the NBA, but man he could play. He pretty much destroyed a Kentucky team that had 7 1st round draft picks on their team.

Pitino left KY, went to the NBA, and picked Jones in the first round.

But I think Malone is the guy for this thread.

He only played one year and for all the talent he had, was very marginal.........Averaged about 14ppg and 5 rpg......He may have been more physically gifted than any other MSU player I've seen but no way in the world is the best to ever don the Maroon/White........Very "unconsistent" the whole year til the run in the SECT.......
