As much as I hate it, I'm going to Sell. Our only 2 SEC road victories have been at the Sad Pad and a 1 point win at LSU. I just don't see them going on the road and beating both USC and Auburn. Hopefully I'm wrong.

If we bring our A game we can play with anybody. It all depends on how we shoot the ball because we defend pretty good. If we win the next three and the NCAA shuns us, then I have to wonder. We have to have the Tenn game if they have not imploded by then, and then a good win over a top 50 team in the SEC tourney would be huge.

Devan Downey always kills us, and I expect that to happen again this weekend. I don't think we can hit enough 3 pointers on the road for us to win games. We have a better shot of beating Tennessee at home then beating both Auburn and South Carolina on the road.

I don't doubt we have the means to do so, but we always like to hiccup in these situations.

About the only thing in our favor against USC, is that they have to play Kentucky Thursday night. That's a short turn around.
Maybe they will be a little weary against us.

Winning either of the next 2 games would be an upset. SC is very good at home (ask KY) and I personally will be surprised if we win this game. Downey will likely go for 30 against us. Auburn is an enigma, they make 3s like crazy but then always seem to crash and burn at the end of games (just like at the Hump and then again last night at the Sad Pad). But, if they jump out to a big lead against us its very unlikely we come back on them over there. We just don't shoot the ball well enough on the road to make up for our other deficiencies. They give us fits anyway, swept us last year and came within a whisker of beating us at home this year. To win both of these games would be nothing short of miraculous.

It's the last game in Beard-Eaves. Even Auburn is not stupid enough to open a new arena for the last game of the year. That doesn't even make sense.

That did not make sense at all. Plus, I just checked out the most recent pictures of the arena. If they were hosting a game next week, it would probably be unsafe to attend. Its going to be nice though.

Our best basketball of the season was a two game stretch against DePaul and UCLA. Since then we have not played near to our abilities. If we can slip in, we will be a dangerous postseason team against teams that don't see us regularly. Give me a 12 seed against a 5 seed Gonzaga with a 4 seed BYU and I'll show you a Stansbury Sweet 16 team.

Did someone teach you the word "imploded" this week?
