With 5 of our last 9 games against ranked teams and currently only having beat Alcorn, I see no shot whatsoever at a bowl and even if we did it would likely be the damn BBVA Compass Bowl.

Should we play for next year and get as much PT as possible for the guys that will be back?

Sell. Regardless of what's on paper - still a lot to play for. Until we eliminate ourselves from bowl eligibility - that's when I would possibly consider playing for next year.

Sell, way too early. It is frustrating that we have a better team this year and

yet we have a much higher level of fan disgust and anger. If we continue to develop Dak and the young defense continues to improve we could be a formidable team if Mullen gets his head out of his butt.

Dan, put your foot on the gas and don't ever take it off and most of your problems will be behind you.

Sell. That's one of the dumbest thing I've seen on this board. You do understand that the goal is to win games, don't you? We still have 10 of them left. 3 of which we should win and 2-3 others we should have a good chance to win.

Don't get me wrong. I am not saying throw in all the freshmen. However, I do think guys like Prescott, Shumpert, Wilson, and Jones should get as much PT as possible rather than sitting on the bench watching seniors who have had their chance to get it done.

We only have 9 games left. We will likely beat Bowling Green, Troy, and Kentucky to get to 4 wins. Who will the other two be against?

At Arkansas? We play like crap at their place even with good teams and they are probably better than Auburn.

Ole Miss? Only if Bo Wallace is out.

LSU? Not a damn chance

Bama? Please

A&M? this one will be over in 2 minutes

South Carolina? Maybe within a couple TDs but a loss none the less.

I think playing Prescott, Wilson and Jones is playing to win today and not just playing for the future. Not sure about Shumpert. He looked good in the Alcorn game, but most anyone would have looked good against Alcorn.

At Arkansas - they're not better than Auburn and they're not better than us. No reason we shouldn't have at least a 50-50 chance at that one.
Mississippi - Egg Bowl at home. They're 3-0 but they've played 3 **** teams. Very good chance to win this game.

I would hate to think we had anyone on scholarship in any sport with as little competitiveness as you seem to have.

Arkansas is not better than Auburn. I think everyone will calm down once Auburn wins a few more games. They are much better than MSU wants to give them credit for. The only thing Malzahn is missing from being an 8-10 win team is a quarterback.

Seriously what the hell happened to the Mullen that would lose his **** on every bad call?

Buy. I'll nibble on this. I've said for the longest time that the OSU game was irrelevant to the season. But what would matter would be the AU game. But I knew that we'd have to win one of the two to make a decent goal. That said, now we have to lower our ceiling to 7-5. To be bowl eligible, asking State to beat LSU and TSUN at home or @UPig, as possible as it may be, is going to be asking a lot.

Actually, I think that if we started playing more underclassmen for next year, we'd have an equal or greater chance of actually upsetting a team. Many of or seniors have underperformed - whether by coaching incompetence or whatever. Whenever two athletes are equal at a position, you give the younger the majority of snaps because he has greater potential.
