Boise's going to beat Georgia in Atlanta in a couple of weeks. They'd probably take us on a neutral field, 50-50 as to whether we'd beat them in Starkville.

Boise did beat an 11-win VA Tech team last year. And they beat a couple of 10-win Oregon teams the previous two years. They wouldn't be much better than 4-4 in the SEC, but we weren't but 4-4 last year and look to be about the same this year.

I've always respected Boise for how they're able to play up to their competition, but they also play down to their competition as well. Probably us being a lower SEC school may have them not take us as seriously as a Georgia even though I feel we'll be better than them next year. But then again... because we are SEC, they might want to try to make a statement with us regardless (not saying I think they would blow us out though). I think it would be a good game... hard to say who would win actually.

Boise State would scare me. They've got that QB with all of those teeth- he really scares me. He would probably beat us on a Double reverse flea flicker and then propose to his girlfriend after he throws the winning TD.

The point of the question was if we could win without the crowd being a factor. Talent vs. talent, coaching vs. coaching, who would win.

The more I think about it, the more I want to change my mind and say we'd probably lose. But it would be entertaining to see Mullen and Petersen try to out-think each other.
