After winning one in the SECT, we should tank it like teams do in baseball. We secure a 6 seed with one win.

Why would we want to tank it? Every win helps seeding, and winning is sort of the object of the game.

the dreaded 5-12 upset that has happened every year. Remember that we were the 5 seed upset by the 12 seed when Butler beat us a few years back.

Either way, it would be very silly to take such superstition seriously -- you play to win, so sell.

I don't want to assume anything. For all we know, we could be one and done in Atlanta and still only get an 8-seed.

Win the whole thing next week. That's what I want.

always play to win it all. These stupid *** "losing is good in the long run" theories should result in instant bannation from now on.

Easy sell. What if we tanked it against a team like Georgia and it hurt our RPI enough to drop us down to an 8?

As far as I'm concerned, we're MSU and we should take nothing for granted. Hell, the NCAA might confuse us for Ole Miss and put us in the NIT.

and we all know how that turned out for us. We need to win; a loss doesn't do any good to our team's confidence, which seems to be at a high right now.

even in the baseball tourney. Teams may not be overly upset if they are knocked out in 2 games, but they are all trying to win. None of them are there trying to attain a certain seeding and then tank it.
