Buy/Sell: Josh Riddell is the third biggest loss on this team behind 1) Mike Brown and 2) AJ.

I buy. Riddell had won the starting job at SC before he blew out his knee. He obviously has a stronger arm than Carroll and seemed to make decisions that were just as good or better. If we have Riddell Saturday night sitting at #2 instead of Tyson Lee, maybe Crxxms sticks him into the game. He's the only QB so far under Crxxms that has looked capable of running our "base" offense with any efficiency.

he'd have been the starter and not Carroll. And seeing as how Croom didn't even have enough confidence in Carroll to let him play more than 1/2 the LA Tech game, Riddell would have probably been the starter by at least the middle of the Auburn game if he'd stayed anyway.

The guy had a cannon for an arm. The biggest problem I heard against him was Croom saying that he had trouble taking snaps from under center since all he ran in JUCO was from the shotgun. And, of course, I think we lined him up under center about 99% of the time.

I never got the impression that Crxxm liked/wanted to play Riddell. I do remember a statement by crxxm saying that Riddell's touchdown pass was a mis-read and it should have been an int.

I do think that Riddell would have been playing, but as we all saw with the way crxxm stuck with henig, I do not think he would hand the starting position over to Riddell just because he played better than Carrol.

Because we all know Crxxms sterling ability to properly evaluate QBs. I can't remember a single poor exchange between Riddell and his center last season. More of Crxxms BS excuses for playing his favorites.

Crxxms didn't like Riddell, thus the reason he transferred. You can say he didn't want to compete for a job or whatever other BS you want, but Crxxms has proven over and over and over aGAIN that he'll play his favorites, results be damned. Still, I think Riddell would have eventually forced his hand. And I remember the mis-read qoute. I was beyond pissed when I read it. That is one of the quotes than Crxxms seems to get a pass on, but is one of the dumbest he's made.
