Mark Richt gets more of a pass than he deserves.

He's done more at Georgia than anybody has since Herschal Walker was running the ball for them.

quality coach, that has to go up against the rest of the conference heavy weights with added academic requirements to deal with and has to play a home game in Fla every other year.

Sell. He has earned himself a big pass since he has been there. National media screwed him this year with too much hype.

I would argue that most coaches dont get enough of a pass (minus MSU coaches). This is especially true in the SEC. Hell, with Spurrier, Richt, Saban, Myer, Miles, and Tubbs somebody has to lose. Those guys are all great coaches and unfortunately have to play each other every year.

I don't know how they do it, but Florida seems to have a high gear that no one else has at theend of the season. UGA had nothing for Florida </div> </div>

He's had 3 years when he's lost only 2 games all year. Hell, Miles lost two games last year and won a nat'l title.

I think we build some of these programs up way too much. Even the best ones and we feel like a good coach should be winning a nat'l title.

Look at what was going on at Ga. the 15 years prior to Richt.

...though I don't know what to make of their ***-kicking by Florida this weekend. I think Florida is just damn good right now. I think Georgia was overrated in the polls early this year, but that wasn't their fault. It was probably because of the way they obliterated Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl, and Hawaii should have never been there to begin with.

The pressure will began to build after this year.

At some point the question will be "Do you think he gets too much undue criticism."

They haven't reached that national title level, but they're one of the best programs in the country.

Although, in the next year or two, if they don't reach that level, grumblings about him not being able to win it all will begin.</p>
