....but this is terrible for them. They are caught between a rock and a hard place. Fire Kennedy and return to basketball suck, or keep him and be labeled racist. He obviously has problems. I remember hearing about him going out and hitting on college girls and I thought that sooner or later something was going to happen.

More people pay attention to politics than they do college basketball. Especially in Dec. If this was March, it would have a little more impact, but still not as much as the politcial debate.

Good question. He should have followed Eustachy's lead and waited until after the game to kick back a few cold ones and chase after the local split tail....

the people who hear about this (though fewer b/c its sports and not politics) know its about ole miss. Many people probably cant remember where the hell that debate was.

the only reason I know is because it was in MS.. I have no clue where the other debates were held.

If it was Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, or any other of the major basketball programs, it would be headline news on ESPN. It would get discussed on the Sports Reporters, etc., etc. Since it's just Ole Miss basketball, it'll get mentioned during the game tonight and may even run on the ticker for a day, but after tonight the national media will be done with it. It'll be a local story only come tomorrow morning.

Fox, MSNBC & CNN talked about the debate.

ESPN will talk about Kennedy.

ESPN probably has more viewers than Fox, MSNBC & CNN combined.

This kills an already borderline racist school. I'm not saying everyone there IS racists but most of the country thinks that way.
Kennedy will have to go bc OM has to exhibit the short leash here.

He IS a drunkard though and never handles himself well in the bar (i remember watching him fall off his stool at the Library during an interview) and to go out before a game in which you are heavily dogged? unacceptable
