Within 25 years, there will be a major push for a woman to coach a major Division I men's college basketball team.

I say buy. I actually could see it becoming the next "no African American head football coach: thing.

In Nashville, there have been two instances of female head coaches coaches men's teams, albeit both were for publicity reasons.

There was the Tennessee State athletic director that fired the coach near the end of the season and she finished out the season.

There was that hot 23-year old Vandy girl that coaches the semi-pro team in Nashville and was fired in the middle of the game by the drunk owner.

While I'd be willing to wager a large sum of money that Pat Summitt could coach circles around a bunch of D-1 men's basketball coaches, I don't know if she would ever take such a gig. But, I do feel that it will probably be a pretty big issue somewhere down the road.
