The win by Ole Miss last night is a good thing because I think we were going to overlook them.

I'll buy. When I turned on the game and saw OM ahead, I thought...damn, didn't see that one coming. If nothing else, the players now know they have to take this game as seriously as any other.

I don't know if Bailey's comment reflected the feelings of the whole team, but it seemed like Varnado and Bost are ready for a close game, based on the quotes that 2HD gave us.

with the injuries and I'm sure it was in the back of the players' minds as well. Further, I think it also shows them that UK can be beaten. My biggest concern about this year's team is them getting the big head from reading their own press clippings.

at least its obvious now to our team that every team is dangerous no matter the injuries

Stansbury never overlooks this game. Never lost to them at home. Bailey's quotes show he's got them thinking about it.

I don't think it's necessarily that we're any good. I just think that last night's game should be a testament to show that no team in the SEC is good enough to overlook any other team in the league. There aren't any gimme wins in the SEC this year, and I think it's mainly due to the fact that there isn't a team in the league that's good enough to count a gimme win against anyone. The league as a whole is just weak.

As far as we're concerned, we're a young team, but a lot of those young guys are talented. We'll have games like the LSU game where we get romped by 20 or 30 because of the youth, but we'll also have games where we play pretty tough because we do have some good athletes that will put it together on occasion.

...without Kentucky's welcomed intervention of ineptitude last night , Saturday's game was a disaster waiting to happen for MSU.

Now that's all gone.

Stansbury now has his built-in wake-up call.

I just think Kentucky sucks worse than people knew. I'm pretty confident about Saturday. We could still lose, but if we do it is because we go cold shooting or do something stupid not any great feat of strength by Ole Miss.
