You would rather play one year of pro basketball in Europe than one year of college before going to the NBA.

Maybe its just me, but I like the college life...school being included doesn't bother me.

Sell for me personally if those were my options. I've been a lifelong State fan who's family was lucky enough to not have real money concerns around the time I went to college. So I would have just come to State most likely.

But I can certainly see why some would take that path under different circumstances. If I had no allegiance and came from a family that needed the money, I almost certainly would have taken a nice European contract in France, Italy, Greece, or Germany.

...and if someone isn't and has the talent to earn a contract from a pro team in Europe, the more power to him.

If I am good enough to be a one and done I will most likely be at a good school. I will make tons of money in one year and build a fan base by being at a good school that will give me more exposure than some team in Europe that nobody pays any attention to.

Only because of the one guy who is actually trying to do that. Whoever that guy is, apparently he is buried on the bench in Europe and apparently there were some other issues involving money.

Plus, Mario Austin's experience in Russia.

If I was a LeBron James type talent, I would go to UNC for a year and then leave.

I wouldn't want to go somewhere that doesn't speak English, and the teams in the UK really suck. I guess if an English or Australian team offered enough money though, I'd seriously consider it.

If you are a good enough high school player you could get paid pretty well for one year in college.....

who can argue with these high school stars learning to hustle and play hard the entire game? He seems to have a great attitude about it all as well. In this case, he should be better for going over there.

Obviously not in talent level, but taking everything into consideration (culture, language, different style of play, etc.). </p>
