If the NCAA insist on having this dumb *** play in game it should be the last 2 bubble teams in instead of two teams that won their tournaments. I am buying. I think if these smaller schools win their tournaments they should be guaranteed a spot. And if the last 2 bubble teams were forced to play in to the tournament it would at least make the play in game somewhat interesting

because all of the NIT games were 100 times more interesting than that crap. Plus, like you said, win your conference tourney, you're in.

I'm assuming that Wisconsin and Arizona were the last two at large bids in this year's field. If you had them playing in a Tuesday night game for a 12 seed and the right to play Florida State or Utah, it would be a much more entertaining match up.

I hate to see a school like Alabama State win their conference tourney only to be eliminated by Morehead State before getting a shot at a real NCAA tourney game. A schoo like Alabama State should get the right to play against a school like UNC or Louisville without having to win another game. Let them get the shot to play on the big stage and get beat by 30. I imagine it's very disappointing to win your conference tourney and not get a chance to play against one of the big boys due to a play-in game.

The at large teams are on the bubble to begin with. I think it would be better to have the last two at large teams have to play their way in.

By having two black schools play each other for the right to be destroyed by the #1 seed in the tourney, the NCAA doesn't have to worry about the NAALCP picketing their games and paying Jesse and Al's child support.

Yeah I am sure Jesse Jackson would just hate for both of those black schools to actually be in the tournament while letting whitey battle it out in a play in game

If teams from these smaller two conferences get beat by 21 or more points two years in a row, they should have to sit out three years before being allowed back in for two more guaranteed. For instance the SWAC sends Grambling one year and Alcorn the next and both get beat by 21 then the SWAC dosen't get a team in the tourney for the next 3 years. Also, eliminate the play-in game all together. It is pointless. They could just end all this by adding two more weekends and let everyone play with pairings based on rpi. Crazy, yes, but no more than the current setup.

If you win you conference tourney you should be in. No play in. I also feel that all 16 seeds should be a play in. Take the top eight bubble teams and make them earn their way in and the looser are the number one seeds in the NIT.

I agree that every conference champion should be guaranteed a spot, but the only problem is them you give a bubble team a 16 seed going up against the overall number 1, which I think would kinda suck for the team that won. Getting in as a bubble team gives you the opportunity to go up against a beatable 5 seed, and now they get a 16 seed against the overall number 1. I say keep it the way it is because 99 times out of 100 that play in winner would lose in the first round where as the bubble team as a 12 seed would have much better chances to win and are an overall better team.

Since most bubble teams are in the 10-13 range you would seed the winner of that play in game in that area, not as a sixteen seed
