Buy, on a physical level. Lebron has the ability to physically dominate his opponent in alot of different ways. Kobe is still a great player, but Lebron=Tiger and Kobe=Phil, IMO. But as they say, you cant surpass someone until you have a ring. Once he gets that ring, there will be no quesiton.

I have a feeling the NBA Finals will settle that argument. Neither of them have the greatest supporting cast in the world yet both teams won their respective conferences. However, the Lakers did sweep the Cavs in the regular season and the East sucks so I still don't have a good feel for Cleveland. Tonight's game against the Magic will certainly be interesting..</p>

This is a buy! Lebron is better than Kobe.

Kobe's team around him is way better than Lebron's. LeBron won the MVP this year, and I remember reading that LeBron's Individual Player Rating (whatever that is) is the highest ever by an NBA player this year. Not to mention Lebron's team hasn't lost in the playoffs yet. They had the best record in NBA regular season. LeBron had a case for defensive POY this year too.

This isn't even much of a debate anymore.

If the question is who is better, the Cavs or Lakers maybe, but LeBron James is better than Kobe Bryant.

I'm selling until LeBron develops a consistent jumper. The gameplan for slowing down or stopping LeBron right now is to make him shoot jumpers and/or put him on the line because his free throw shooting is still iffy also. You can't have too glaring flaws like that and claim to be better than Kobe in my opinion. Maybe in a couple years as LeBron continues to improve and age catches Kobe, but right now Kobe still has a slight edge. Offensively Kobe has no flaws in his game, and defensively he and LeBron are about even. Not to mention the fact that Kobe closes out games better than anyone in the game today. Obviously you can't go wrong with either one though.

Beating a cruddy Hawks team and a sorry Pistons team just does not show very much. Sure they took care of business but the playoffs start tonight for the Cavs. As far as the teams go, right now with Odom at less than half speed there is not that much difference in the supporting cast. The Lakers big guys may be better but Clevelands guards are better than Derek Fisher, Jordan Farmar, and Shannon Brown for sure.
