Nutt getting fired would be a good thing for MSU. I personally think Nutt has Mullen's number on the recruiting trail and getting him out of there would potentially help us with in state recruiting.

Nutt doesnt have any "number"....they did what they had to do to get CJ and our alumni didnt. Brassell was never coming to State. Singleton wasnt either. <div>
</div><div>Nutt is incompetent and is done as a coach. The longer they hold onto him- the better. Firing him this December may help with recruiting 1 year- but if they pull a Malzahn or another young coach that can bring excitement into the program, plus the support their boosters provide in recruiting- it could really be bad for us down the road</div>

UM is a disaster right now. It's only going to get tougher for Nutt to reel in the top recruits as long as they keep getting beat by non-BCS teams, Vandy & completely embarrassed by the top SEC teams. I still say those players from last year were kind of a hangover from the back-to-back Cotton bowls. His first two seasons gave him a lot of clout with last years recruits, but this year & last will have a huge negative effect for the next couple of years.

At this point they have no Mississippi recruits other than two South Panola kids. We have more Mississippi players committed (12) than they have total commitments(10). Heck, we need to see what we can do to help extend Nutt's contract another 4 years.

I would be more concerned if they brought in a new coach at this point. He could energize their divided fan base andpick up a few key recruits. Combine thatwithdecent talent from last year's class, and a new coach could make them very successful by 2013 / 2014.</p>

Going to have to bite that bullet real hard to fire Nutt.The cost will be real money.
