sell. It depends upon the bowl. Frankly if we end up getting pushed down to the Peach, I can see the team not having a ton of motivation. So a loss there wouldn't hurt.

Buy. A bowl win helps erase that disaster on Oxford. Hopefully this does not end like the 2012 season.

Meh, sell I guess. It would be really good to win but I'm not sure it is a must win or we suck next year type of game.

I honestly think it depends on opponent. Playing GA Tech in the Orange Bowl is not very exciting to me.

I'd love orange just bc of the name, but Ohio state in the peach would get be excited about the actual game.

I'm worried about how Bama flopped in their bowl last year as a result of the auburn game. Seemed like they didn't have a lot of motivation when playing Oklahoma because it was a seemingly consolation game. I'm gonna soft buy but hope that the team finds their juice.

Buy. We don't want to end the year like 2012 then start like 2013 with loses to Auburn, LSU, and Tam.

Sell. Not a must win. We will be in a good position to win but usually teams don't show up on New Years Day. I wouldn't be surprised to see another Gator Bowl... Or having the players "loose" like the Egg Bowl**

If our guys can't get motivated to play in a major bowl game with a chance to win 11 games for the first time in school history, then all this "relentless effort" and "dominate every play" stuff Mullen says in every one of his pre game speeches is just ********. I can't see that happening. Bama was unmotivated last year because they expect to play for national championships and the fluke ending to the Iron Bowl cost them that opportunity. The Sugar Bowl was a major step down from what they thought they deserved. This is a different situation for us. We haven't played in a major bowl game in over 70 years. This is unprecedented territory for us. I would hope our guys would be motivated to go out on a high note and make this the best season in program history.

Sell. I still think we'll be good next year either way. It would definitely suck to end the season losing 3 of our last 4 though, after a 9-0 start.

Why would it not hurt because the team is unmotivated? Would they just say, "the loss was no big deal because we didn't really care to play anyway?"

If we lose three of the last 4 games of the year after being ranked #1 in the country, I think it carries over into the offseason in a bad way. Winning the bowl game against a quality OOC opponent will validate that we are 2nd in our division of the SEC but still better than a large percentage of the top teams in other conferences. We claimed all year that other conferences don't play as hard of schedules and their teams are overrated.

We need this win.

Sell - I don't think bowl games mean much for the following season. That LSU game the second week in September will be the game that either gives us momentum for 2015 or sets us on pace for a 7 or 8 win season.

We had all the momentum in the world after the 2010 gator bowl blowout, and then had the air sucked out of us against Auburn in week 2. Never recovered.

Push. 10 wins is a great season to build on for next year. But losing both the Egg Bowl and a bowl game would be a major downer to end on.
