Buying a new gas grill

My gas grill has about played out so it's time to replace it before the Bama game party. I'm looking for a grill that gets hot enough to sear steaks and tuna right. I like my steaks and tuna the same, some searing on the outside and raw in the middle!

I've got a charcoal grill that I use but I like a gas grill at times.

Any suggestions on a GAS grill that will get hot enough to sear? One that I should be able to find in the greater Starkville area.

I'm in the same boat and after reading all kinds of reviews, I'm looking at the Weber E-320 and a couple other similar ones in the Weber line.

It was Consumer Reports' highest rated one, and they claim that it has outstanding temp control. I have a separate smoker for low temp cooking, but apparently this one does great with it as well. Anyway, I've heard nothing but good things about the Webers even though they do run a little higher than your run of the mill charbroils or similar.

4 burner Charbroil Commercial Tru Infra Red. Had that one for 7 years. I find it hard to believe there's anything on the market in the same price range that comes close to it.

What kind of temps can you get out of it?

Lowes appears to have these in stock in Starkville so I might cook on one tonight.

I got a Weber Genesis all stainless. It is phenomenal. I wanted something that last because I'm not too far from saltwater so it justified the 700 dollar price tag. I have gotten mine to 700 degrees because I was used to my old one and didn't realize it could climb to that in 4 minutes. It also sips propane, we were going through a tank every two months on the old grill, a Charbroil, while this one is on it's second tank in 14 months.

This is what I have. Love it. Never have to wory about flare-ups because of the flame and cooking surface are separated by piece if metal.
