Director of player personnel at Bama before he left. Then took over some ****** defenses and did a good job with them. Now he's going to have some talent to play with. Maybe he can take our young LB's and get them ready for SEC competition. Seems like a good hire if so.

We're hearing there's a strong chance that FIU defensive coordinator Geoff Collins will accept a job offer from the Mississippi State -- perhaps as early as today.

We are THE Mississippi State University.

Sign this guy up right now! That is a fantastic resume. Recruits, pay attention to the hires that Dan Mullen makes. We sure could use a 'best recruiting class in school history' type of guy that is equally as qualified with the x's and o's. If this holds up, it continues a trend of bringing in young, hungry, and innovative people. Nutt's hires aren't even close in my opinion. I seriously think that David Lee was living in Miami because of its reputation as a great retirement community. He certainly wasn't doing much work with the Dolphin qb's. Heck, the best hire Nutt ever made was with Gus Malzahn and he eventually was run off. If you want to be surrounded by high-energy, creativecoaches,MSU is the place to be.
