On the horror front, I watched:

1. Stopmotion: weird, body horror
2. In A Violent Nature: slow moving, wood setting,
Rehash of every JASON movie you saw
3. Abigail: nice spin on a vampire theme, fun cast.
New one coming up that looks good:
Starve Acre with Daemon Targaryen, folk horror

Update: Abigail will be on the “‘Cock” July 19!

Love Denzel but agree - the laugh is too contemporary. Pascal I’m less worried about - he’s pretty great in everything and doesn’t stick out as much.
What I see when I see Denzel in Gladiator II

Uhhhhhh….

Those folks who rated this movie as 100% have to be crack addicts. Saw it tonight, unfortunately, and it blows big time. Stupid premise, horrible acting, it was actually laughable in some scenes.
Totally ludicrous this is getting compared to classics like Seven. A negative zero rating from me.

And looking further, Oz Perkins, Longlegs director, is the son of Anthony Perkins, horror legend from Psycho. He is dissing his dad with this effort!

Anora now streaming on HULU. Wasn’t sure of it in the beginning of the film, but held my interest. A Cinderella story gone bad.

Nothing new of course. It's me posting after all. Came across this Stern/Rob Lowe interview and liked it (and I don't like Stern). The Diane Lane/Matt Dillon comments are priceless.

Luke Skywalker as the general plus The Running Man is coming soon too.
The Monkey will be on Peacock Aug 7,
It was a hoot.
I'm also really looking forward to The Welcome to Derry series on HBO MAX
Someone has The Institute but its movie, ehhh the book was ok.
The King book I would love to see being done besides The Talisman and Black House is the Holly Gibney, in Holly.

Cynthia Erivo played her in the HBO series The Outsider. I preferred the actress (Justine Lupe) who played her in the Mr Mercedes series.

+1.
Also The Outsider does not get the credit its due. Both book and film are very good.

A cool flick could also be the short story follow up to Cujo in the collection, You Like It Darker.
Story titled Rattlesnakes.

That was good but then you'd almost have to do a Duma Key back story besides the Cujo one. I liked the Novella but that wasn't one of my favorite stories. I mean good read but it doesn't need to be made into a book.
Let me go off on a mine side bar here. I just finished re-reading an old Dan Simmons book called Sumer Of Night. One of the best coming of age horror stories I've read, outside of King, in a very long time. Its fantastic.
