Does anyone know when BWW is opening in Starkville? I have heard August, but have not heard a concrete date yet. Also, I thought someone said Newk's coming here was a done deal? The old Movie Gallery building still has the old movie shelves in it. Any word on either?

Thanks in advance

I've been there a number of times, and I have not found the menu item that I absolutely must have. I just don't get it. If I'm at Newk's, it's a near certainty that it was my wife's idea.

I am not that partial to Newk's either, but I was just wondering if it is actually coming. I drive by the supposed future location everyday and don't see anything happening.

I've always enjoyed whatever I got there.... Maybe its just me, but I find it pretty hard to get real "revved-up" to go to a sandwich shop.... no matter how good a particular place is, it's never not too far off from the like of subway because .....it's still a 17ing sandwich ship.

I've heard no exact date for BWW, but August is the opening month. Newk's is still coming. There were some recent tweets about the issue with the opening month of either October or November (I can't remember which).

That's about all I'll eat from there - it's a chicken sandwich w/ bacon & a white bbq sauce.

Ran into the guy in charge a few weeks ago. That was the projection. Very nice guy- Scottish accent. Cool car. That's all I remember.

You can't go wrong. Their bread is really good and that white bbq sauce is awesome. I get the club almost everytime, but got the Newk's Q last time and will probably to that again. I go to Newk's a lot actually. My clients seem to like it.

Italian has capicola, mortadella, pepperoni, salami, provolone cheese, mayo, spicy Creole mustard, lettuce, tomato, yellow onions, hot sliced cherry peppers and Italian sauce
Bisque is exactly what you think
Newk's favorite is always good when I'm trying to get some extra veggies. It has chicken breast, dried cranberries, grapes, gorgonzola cheese, artichoke hearts, pecans, croutons, and of course lettuce

Just yet another sandwich shop.
Not that bad, not outstanding.

Kind of like McAllister's, which I never frequent since it's Oxford-based.

Huntsville's one of the nation's leaders in fast food outlets.
There are better local food options.
Like, actual sit-down places with plate lunches, better food at the same price, and service just as quick.

The only reason I ever go to Newk's is because the wife likes it. The sandwiches aren't anything I couldn't reproduce at home with a trip to Kroger and a toaster oven, and the pizzas are decent but have crazy amounts of fat/calories even by pizza standards. When I cave and we wind up eating there, I usu. eat a bunch of the roasted garlic they have on the condiment table to try to create a negative connection in her mind (Newk's = bad husband breath).
