did a horrible coaching job this year. No way in the world a competent coach wouldn't have gotten this team into the NCAA tournament. Just how talented this year's MSU team is can certainly be up for debate, but it was plenty good enough to finish with 10 to 11 SEC victories in an unimpressive conference. MSU basketball has been at its worst an embarrassment to the university as a whole the last couple of years, and at its best a rudderless ship filled with drama queens and underachievers. The saying is that the fish rots from the head down. I think it is time to dump the chum overboard, but the decision rests with the athletic director. I have no idea which way the ball will bounce.
No matter who we play they are always world beaters. TheNorth Rhode Island A&M game this weekis going to be tough ...they have a "good team" and we're playing on the road so we'll be fortunate to still be in the game at the 5 minute mark. We're always the underdog, we're always going to have to scrap for any lead we can. The schedule is too hard. We're tired and we're going to have to do the best we can. We're not worried about extending the lead, we can only hope to sustain it. The last injury is going to devastate the team, we may not be able to replace ____. Yadda yadda yadda. When he called Auburn a good team this yearI started believing he was senile.I think 14 years of SEC basketball has taken its toll on him and he really needs some time off.If the team we were playing had our roster he would talk about how they werefinal four caliber yet he refuses to acknowledge we might be more talented and that we SHOULD WIN certain games. If he's back next year I don't see anything changing even if he hires a new staff. He is clearly in a defensive posture and has no idea what it means to be the aggressor for 40 minutes and his players adopt this attitude quite willingly it seems.</p>
