I thought this is how coaches get a raise...The good ones are always on someone's wish list! I wonder who USC is looking at? After this year Kelly will be done with Philly....

I'm not surprised.....

The story may not have legs but Saban seems to be the type of person who needs a new challenge periodically. He won a NC at LSU and seemingly had the CFB world by the ying-yang then bolted for the NFL. Didn't work out for him there and he came back to bama. With 2 NC and #3 seemingly within his grasp he is probably getting a bit bored in turdsacloosa. I also cannot see him passing up the opportunity to win a NC at 3 different schools which would cement his legacy as perhaps the greatest coach in the history of CFB. Texas would be THE prime location to accomplish that.

Purely my opinion but if he is destined for UT I'll bet he has fully informed the bama administration and they will be ready to name his successor the very day he announces his resignation.

I for one would be thrilled to see him coach somewhere else.

Texas is certainly in an easier conference. I'd say it would be even easier to recruit to Austin than Tuscaloosa if Bama didn't already have the top class in the country for 4 of the last 5 years.

Would his assistants go with him? Are they all willing leave the SEC?

I'm thinking this doesn't happen, but who really knows besides "Little Nick"?

Interesting. Not sure I buy it though. Why would he let his wife go do that before the end of the current season? It would cause too many distractions for him and the team and you know he wants another NC before he retires or leaves for another job.

Check your history books.

With our luck he'll take the job and Texas will be the #15 SEC team to join in 2016.

I think Nick Saban is to the point that if he wants a raise, all he has to do is walk into the AD's office and say, "Starting today, this is my new salary." He'd get it.

Where is Tusk when we need him? This is HERESY! Erroneous on all accounts!

Saban had a press conference where he professed his love for UA and Tuscaloosa. This might send recruiting into a tizzy, but that's doubtful.

Looks like Mrs. Saban found the perfect house.
