Thread earlier talking about our trouble filling the center position recently, and we're not the only ones. Link here to an article about BYU's most irreplaceable player which might not be who you think.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, BYU has been scrimmaging a lot without their center, and they're suspicious that he's one of the players out for the Nebraska game.

In another move that could have been viewed as suspension-related preparation, an otherwise healthy center, Tejan Koroma, was held out of the scrimmage. "There was a huge emphasis, if you missed that part, to make sure, 'OK, what happens if Tejan is not in there, and what [does] that look like?" Mendenhall said.

And, also, there's this story out of last Saturday's scrimmage where the author speaks about withholding Koroma from practice.

"The Cougar defensive line was bullying offensive line today. Mendenhall wanted to simulate what the offensive line would look like if Tejan Koroma were not available to play, so Koroma was held out on Saturday afternoon. The offensive line struggled without Koroma at center. Back-up center has been a position of great concern for Mendenhall, so starting left guard Kyle Johnson took snaps at center for the first time on Saturday. Mendenhall wanted to use that opportunity to cross-train players to get the best possible five players on the line at all times."

Not guaranteed anything and if Taysom Hill is actually 100% they're still dangerous. But one report from an early BYU scrimmage said "The only center who didn't botch multiple snaps was Tejan Koroma."

Biggest worry for Cougar fans has to be that Valentine, Collins, and Williams just absolutely dominate their interior OL, which would basically stop their running game (current starting RB is mostly a between the tackles guy) and make the offense 100% dependent on Hill either running or rolling out, taking hits fairly often either way.

We're apparently suspending 5 players including minimum one starter, and especially if it's a linebacker that's going to hurt a lot.

This is going to be very scary for them if true. They are going to have a hard enough time handling our interior let alone a backup getting that chore.

The " Suspension Bowl "; takes on a new wrinkle. If this keeps up, not sure how points keep below seven; or some must think we have more issues than seem warranted. Its that killing of Texas; really gave BYU street cred. Both teams having players out; seems to temper the idea we would have a clear advantage.

Both teams will have players out, but so far BYU it appears BYU will have more rotation players out.

Both teams have a couple of reserve players out with injury. Both teams have at least one starter on defense out (BYU LB suspended for petty theft). BYU has, apparently, 2 of their top 4 players on offense out (RB Williams and Koroma). BYU has one DB that's almost certain to be out for our game

Don't think anybody know who else will be suspended for either team.

Suspensions should really hurt BYU more even if both teams lose equal numbers. Our 2nd team plays their 2nd team and I think it's a rout. Our starters against their starters, both teams full strength and it's a tight game.
