Anyone with any insight re: Montverde? I didn’t think we were ever in play for those guys.

Kevin Boyle produced Jobnson and MKG to Kentucky. Think it is alot to with the players than the actual schoo, alot of benefited players have came out of there the last few years. Guys like Ben Simmons, Deangelo Russell, Barrett, Etc..

Hard not to love this kid. He's physically gifted, exceptionally skilled, plays both ends of the court, and understands that the game isn't about how many shots and points he can put up, but how he can help his team win. He's probably underrated at 9.

Kind of reminds me of Andrew Harrison as far as attacking the rim but he also seems like he might be a better finisher with high level explosiveness.

Hampton's dad said the UK staff is re-calibrating their approach now that RJ is reclassifying. Maybe Cal wants to sell Cunningham on being the primary ball handler (along with Quickley if he returns obviously) now that Hampton is off the table and Cooper possibly Auburn-bound.

^ that's a good point.

If it starts to look like Cooper is going to '19 (and therefore Auburn) I bet Cal turns up the heat on one of the combo guards like Suggs near the top of the class.

So many of the forwards in '20 are great facilitators, and although some like Barnes we don't seem to be on heavy anymore, there are ways to build a roster that doesn't need a true PG.

What is the deal with guys from Montverde? Can anyone shed light as to why we haven't been recruiting there? Thanks
They’re usually highly rated, and Montverde helps introduce the whole “pay for play” game, by doing it themselves. The parents etc have nothing to lose really.

the size is great, but what about quickness. Can he beat someone off the dribble & create open shots for others?
Don't like the comparison to Harrison, especially if he has the same attitude
