What a pathetic *****. . Confirms that family is putting pressure on anyone that wants to stay in their good graces.
Yep. Like I said, Caitlin can do whatever she wants, but anyone who doesn’t think her silence is the result of the McCaffrey family essentially pressuring her to choose a side is fooling themselves. Honestly, I feel bad for her that she’s been put in that situation.

And Clarks been traveling with the USA team and doing commercials, or are you guys actually saying you know what her commitments are at the present time?

Really? So a poster on here calling her lack of a response as "pathetic" and not meeting "his expectations" is okay with you? I'll just stand opposed on that one, and leave it there......

Nope. I have no idea what her schedule is. I would imagine it is quite a bit lighter right now but I'm not arguing she has to be at the games like those girls are. I'll I am saying is a "Go Hawks" would make people feel better. That would take 10 seconds.

No, I don't agree that she's pathetic for not doing that. This is not a hill I'm going to die on over the tournament. I'm really excited for this team and the great run they are on. Caitlin's opinion doesn't change that. It would just be nice to say something about the run as the face of the university. That's all I'm trying to say.

That's fine. I just think the focus should be on the job Ben and his players have done, and not what this or that alum has to say about it. One of the reasons I absolutely HATE social media. This forum is my only foray into that cesspool, and even here sometimes, its just too much...

As for Connor and the way he feels about Iowa and the way his dad lost his employment there, how many college coaches get to leave whenever THEY feel it is the right time? I would guess that number to be fairly low. Anyone in the coaching business knows the possibility exists that you could be fired. Thus buyouts are one of the biggest pieces when negotiating a contract. The McCaffrey family made a lot of money in their time at Iowa and dad still does to this day. Connor and his brother were given a free education and I hope they both got a degree. The McCaffrey family might be a little salty but I can guarantee you they will not be pulling for Illinois. And CC either. They are a basketball family and like all basketball fans, they won't miss this game. They will be watching and pulling for the Hawks. Fran and Marge can look at their bank account at halftime and smile. CC remaining silent is a smart move. Sometimes better to just say nothing

Caitlin Clark is the cliche absent movie mom (or dad in actual movies, but you get the idea 😉......) that always misses all our youth sporting events even though she says she'll be there, and we grow up resenting that about her, learning a harsh reality that you can't even trust those closest to you in life....................

All because she never patted us on the head and told us we "did a good job".

Or something like that, amirite fellas? 😃

Highly doubt she's bearing a grudge v. Iowa MBB because of Connor but if she is, so what. Love CC, but the McCafferys acted like a bunch of spoiled little b*tches when everything went down. Iowa kept Fran on board a hell of a lot longer than any other P2 school would have. The guy was given 15 years and in that time didn't make a single Sweet 16. And then he feels Iowa somehow wronged him? Lame.

Isn't that basically what this place is?
Today on Real Hawks Fans:
@Franisdaman gets in an argument with someone's alternate account - will he get more upset than his namesake? *cut to a clip of someone in their basement sticking black and gold pins into a voodoo doll while a suspenseful version of the Iowa Fight Song plays*

Do I think her not posting about a historic Iowa's run is related her personal ties? Yes, probably.

Do I give a shi t? Absolutely not.

She’s been very quiet recently re: her support of the recent run of the men’s team….CMac maybe in her ear?
I'm holding everyone that cried in this thread about her not saying anything on social media about the men's tournament run, responsible for our loss tonight.............

I'm dead f***ing serious.

Good luck fellas. 🙂

Clark did great things for Iowa women’s basketball, and I wish her well in the WNBA. But if I’m being 100 percent honest, I don’t like or watch women’s basketball. The only two women’s games I’ve ever watched were the two games Iowa made the NCAA championship. Not that she needs my approval or viewership… she’s set financially for life. But women’s basketball is like watching turtles race uphill compared to the men’s game. There, I said it.
One of the best observations made about the game of basketball came from 5 ft. 3 inch Muggsy Bougues. He played multiple seasons in the NBA. “2/3’s of the game is played below the knee and that’s Muggsy land.” For basketball purists all the above the rim stuff is not the ultimate. Give me a team that moves the ball with flow and unselfishness, and defends with great heart. Women are just as good or better at those things than men. Glad not everyone agrees makes getting tickets an easier task

I have a pretty good source that showed CC texting Austin Ash in a group chat and calling him a “loser” for attending Iowa’s S16 and E8 games. I don’t have the screenshot and understand if you’re skeptical about it, but it’s unfortuante.

Yep. I was told she deliberately has refrained from putting out any support. From what I understand, the athletic department reached out to try to do a quick social media collab with CC that wouldn't have taken much more than 10 mins on her part and she declined.

Good for her .

Did anyone check on what shampoo she is using this month? Need to know if I need to change brands again so my hair smells like hers.
