As for Perry, Cal offered him when he was a sophomore. Cal never told Perry he wouldn’t play him.

The Perrys have a problem with Pope. Not Cal.

Don’t have any reason not to believe much of what you say, but after watching Cal recruit and coach for years, I cannot believe Perry would have played substantive minutes for Cal. Maybe mop up minutes. Count the minutes Pope played Perry last year. That’s about how many minutes more Pope played Perry than Cal would have played Perry.

His system sucks! It took UMASS to final four, took Memphis to a national championship game, and Kentucky to 12 NCAA Tournament appearances, resulting in one national championship, four Final Fours, and seven Elite Eight appearances in 15 years. I hope Pope's system fails this bad.
