Fullerton is definitely a college baseball blue blood, but one that like several have, gone into a lull in the latter years. Same for USC. Neither have been able to make a comeback from their glory days. Fullerton has done better lately than USC though. I think the Trojans still have the most CWS Championships, but it's certainly been awhile and doesn't look too promising in the near future.

California in general seems to be way down from 10 years or so ago. Only Stanford still hanging around. Where are the UC-Irvines? And like you mention USC and Fullerton are shells of their past selves. Where is UCLA?

Maybe the COVID exodus took all the baseball talent with it?

Stanford, Arizona, and Oregon State seem to be making the most noise. And Oregon a little bit, although their program is very young. California has mega tons of high school baseball talent. We used to recruit some out there. Wish we could get back to it, but Lemon is fighting for his job now and has to use the portal or transfers to get our program turned quickly. He won't have time to dig into far away places like the West.

2 years of isolating everyone in their homes & not playing ball will do that.
