Calabasa won 35-14 last night to win it's 2 consecutive California state championship.

Tristan Gebbia threw 5 TD passes and finished with 487 passing yards including a 25 yard catch by Keyshawn Johnson to start the scoring for the Coyotes.

5 star Darnay Holmes missed the game and was in sweats on the sidelines with an illness.

They won the Division 5 Southern Section championship last night. There are still the SoCal championships on 9-10 December, and the state championship games 16-17 December. They aren't quite there yet.

Nice to see them beat Capistrano Valley who collectively talked crap about Calabasas and their players all week.

How does that work? Is Calabasas playing another divisional champion next week?

lived here ten years and people that have lived here their whole lives cant explain the playoff system...would like to see calabasas play some of the private schools that also recruit kids ...their competition all season was average at best

I agree, lived here a long time and can't figure it out either. Plus, this year is different with nine champions based on school type instead of four champions based on school size.
