When I saw him pitch, it seemed like he threw hard (perspective from the stands with no radar gun, and I will admit that I am the World's worst at judging speeds from the stands) but at the same time he got roughed up.

We probably should have RS him, in hindsight.

I remember reading a story about this guy who pitched in AAA in the 70's that was supposedly the hardest throwing pitcher ever, but he never made it to the big leagues because he was so wild.
