Remember those on here past and present that told us we had to stay the course with cal because of the way he recruits and nobody else out there can do what cal does even though it's staring them right in the face he was destroying us from within with his inability to coach lineup problems outdated style of play and fighting with the fans thank God we have been delivered and hopefully which I doubt will humble those who did and still do cling on his coat tails deliverence is ours glory and hallelujah
I’ve come to realize most of them have to be people like the KSR caller “Marsha” who is super old and just thought cal was a good person for the state philanthropy. Either those types or the 23 and under, NBA obsessed generation where Cal is all they knew and they prefer the NBA to college basketball so they liked that we were the farm system.

This became every year under Cal.

That's why I started saying that he was just supergluing teams together.

Didn't matter the skill set, just take your definition of the most talented players available, regardless of anything else. Now you've got 3 or 4 seven footers, and you're playing a college 4 at the 3 spot. Oh, and your PG can't shoot.
And call it “positionless basketball”

I don’t even think they are the most talented, just the most hyped or highest ranked.

😂 oh you’re going by Cals “We don’t promise playing time” line he says all the time. After 15 years we know all his lines, you just haven’t learned them yet. Just wait until he introduces a tweak at Camp Cal that will save your season lol. Also about the playing time line - Khalil Whitney, Quade Green, DJ Wagner, Justin Edwards, BJ Boston etc etc etc say hello

I think Cal will retire when he can't get the 5 star guys anymore. This class will be pivotal for him. If he lands Cenac and Thomas to go with Acuff, he'll be back. If I'm Thomas, I'm tippy toeing toward Arkansas though and postponing my commitment until the Spring. He'd be wise to wait out Wagner and Fland and see what they'll do. Neither of those guys looks pro ready right now.

Obviously we're all hoping he misses on Wilson and the kid goes to UK instead.
I think Fland still will be a pretty high pick even if he’s inconsistent this year. The talent is obvious. Wagner I’m not sure about. He surely didn’t even expect to be back in college this year so a guy like him may even jump at the overseas route.

Cenac seems down to LSU/Tennessee so Arkansas really needs to land at least one of Abaev, Ament, or hope for a potential Muurinen reclass. Otherwise might just stick with the two guards from the high school ranks and hit the portal for the rest.

Cal will push wag out the door nba ready or not he is blocking the green room door remember if a player returns under cal he is a failure and needs to transfer and also will openly throw a player under the bus when they lose Cal U sucks

Woulda barely beat bucknell (maybe even lose) say his team wasn't ready so early in the season etc. Guy did less with more while pope will do more with less.. so when these recruits come in (jasper . Acaden etc) just imagine what pope will do. Breath of fresh air. Eom
Calipari would probably beat Bucknell during the regular season. He would lose to them in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament. Can you say Saint Peter's & Oakland

as someone who was an avid Cal supporter- It appears, this year's team is a lot more organized and prepared.
after watching Arkansas last night- I now understand why Cal had to leave. that game is exactly what we have been watching... I will always root for Cal unless he is playing Kentucky... but Kentucky appears to be in better hands with Pope.
There is a different level in prep and presentation. I love how Pope actively engages the players.... No need for mindless screaming, because the team is better prepared.
Now-- having said that...... Tuesday night will be a true test....

Small sample size, but two games in the Hogs averaging 63.5ppg and blazing the nets from 3 at a rate of 9/39 for 23%.

The stat that tells it all for me :

Arkansas as a team shoots 9/39 for 23% from 3
.... Brea has hit 10/12 for 83% from 3

that's all I need see to know we are just fine. Let Cal be Cal.

Let Kentucky be Kentucky

Go Big Blue !

The debacle with Shaedon Sharp was the final straw for me! Telling everyone to come out and watch him warm-up, what a JOKE!!!

I was thinking the same thing watching the game last night. These are the kinds of teams that usually gave Cal's teams trouble.

That Bucknell team made 12 3s and scored 72 points.

A Cal team would’ve either won that game 78-72 or would’ve lost 72-69.

Wouldn’t just ending your played out, recycled message with a period done just as good as putting EOM? Usually readers understand the message is ended when you use a period and stop writing words.

Even though Pope has Guaranteed Caleb playing time, when Cal would not.
Wagner proves that Cal promises players playing time. At UK and at Rkansas, Wagner is starting and playing 30+ minutes per game. So glad we have a fresh start at Kentucky, it’s way past time.
