Good Morning...

As you have noticed VirginiaPreps has a different look this week after the merger/acquistion of Rivals to On3. On behalf of the VirginiaPreps staff I think I speak for all when I ask for patience during the conversion. What you see now is not the finished product and I suspect by August 1 the site to be more reflective of what you are accustomed to. Change is never easy and I know those in charge are hearing the complaints and will work to make it as good if not better. Just be through the merger process.

I'm always for change, especially if it's for the good.

I'm sure in the long run everything will work out just fine.

However my only question right now is...where is everyone?????

I think because if it even comes up under the old VP link, it is different, and intimidating, many are saying, screw it! And I’m not sure the link everyone was using will get you here?

And another reason, it’s the slooooow season before the real season starts, so interest is minimal.

If, and I don’t know what the answer will be, if On3 requires a membership to access the forum, Virginia Preps is history. I know this issue is being addressed, so keep your fingers crossed.

Matt, when most of the bugs get worked out, do you have the ability to send out a mass email to the members and non members that have used the forum in say the last 5 or 10 years? If we could communicate a synopsis of the changes and invite them back, I believe we could make some headway. Especially if we include a live link that will take them directly to Virginia Preps.

I get it, and understand life is about change. Just like IDK, players going to schools and to play for coaches that they want. Things evolve, you move forward or say screw it and stand aside.
On another note, Huguenot picked up a player from NJ, kid looks like the real deal(LB/SS). Interesting to see how rosters look once the season gets here.

I for one love On3! I have been with them for a while now, following my Ohio State Buckeyes! I'm sure if everyone gives them some time things will work out well.

I have asked On3 about the free account to post on the free forums, similar to what we had under Rivals. It doesn't appear to be the case with On3 but one thing signing up for $1 and then cancelling does is reduce the hundreds of spam posts we used to get. Sometimes I would start my day by deleting all the spam posts on the free boards (never had that issue with the VIP), which was a pain. Some days, I would wake up and re-delete the bot post again because it reappeared. However, I do realize that people are hesitant to provide credit information, but I hope most will make it back. The new platform is a lot better, and I'm hoping they will recover the old discussions real soon.
