The Big 12 is on life support right now and Oklahoma will always be 2nd fiddle over there anyway.

He's coached on the big stage. He'd be a return to the Spurrier type offense. He's gotta be worried about the direction of the Big 12.

He's already done all he can do in Oklahoma. Heismans, Nat'l. Championship appearances and A championship. He's a graduate of UF. Just so ya know.

I have to think he's a lot less committed to Boise now than he was 2 years ago (or even at the start of this summer). He thought he was going to be moving to a MWC that would get a BCS automatic bid. He now knows that will never happen at Boise.

Maybe somebody else has details on this, but I recall that a big factor in him staying in Boise was the logistics concerning his child who is either ill or has special needs. I think Boise's proximity to a certain hospital was a big plus for him. That's not to say something couldn't be worked out in Gainesville, but that has to be a big factor to overcome. If they have trusted relationships with Doctors out on the West Coast, they may be reluctant to move to a different coast.
