What's he good at and what does he need to work on? His dad has pushed him pretty hard since he was young, I've heard. He was playing pick up games vs college age and older when he was like 12.
with above average ball handling skills. 6'2 but could very well be 6'4+ when he finishes growing. Great body control and is able to finish in traffic. What separates him from the pack is that he has a high basketball IQ and his jumpshot is consistent and natural. His skills will translate to the pro game well. He is able to get his own shot or he is able to come off screens and pull up for the jumper. He isn't afraid of the moment. He scares you with his jumper and defenses generally jump out at him only to be taken off the dribble. His mid-range game is just as good as Rodney's was as a senior. I'm not exaggerating. Rick needs to be on him now! Alabama had a coach there last night. Tennessee was there two weeks ago when I watched them play. Horatio has done a fine job of raising him. I'm good friends with the Callaway staff and they have nothing but great things to say about Malik. Great student as well.
