How long is the run, what are the obstacles, etc.? Instead it's all "be a badass" and "look at the cool flames." I might do it if I can figure out what the hell it is. <div>
</div><div>Edit: you have to click on the individual race you want to do to get details. The Tennessee one is only a 5k. I've done similar sorts of races, albeit no fire involved. Nothing like crossing a little creek that is chest deep while running a race.</div>

There is also a Spartan Race which is a little cooler than Warrior Dash because they let you throw a spear at the end. But its nowhere near me.

I'm looking at Tennessee in Sept.

There was a similar one in Nashville last year. Seems a bit much just to run around doing those things. I did those things enough in basic training years ago. If you want to be a "man", do the Ragnar Relay. There were several Bulldogs in that race. One lady was even ringing her cowbell. It was quite fun.

The Georgia one last year had you run for a 1/2 mile-ish, then walk chest deep through a river, jump some hurdles, climb a cargo net, crawl thru long barrels, run up a part of the mountain, crawl under barb wire in the mud, and jump over knee-high fire. And a few other things. When you finish, you can go get a beer and a turkey leg. People dress up all crazy. It's quite awesome.

ETA: You're also encouraged to wear a beard.
ETA: The Georgia run is officially listed at 3.02miles.
