His name ain’t Hollifield.. The coaching staff and booster people have failed this young man....The TruDynasty Shelby is worried about Shelby. Look after your kids..Get them young men some exposure... I know a few Lions that have got exposure. And Coach H knows the recruiting game. . At times his delivery is a little elongated and when he scrambles he tends to carry the ball not as securely as one would like.

I dont know about these innuendos you are tossing out, maybe you ahve been hanging around dynasty and LA too much, but his delivery is slow at times due to carrying the ball low that causes a big windup before a throw.

No. I mentioned 2 faults that can be fixed. Someone will pick him up and be very happy for 4 years. IMO a team that runs the Air Raid or old school Run N Shoot would be best fit.
As much as I hate to agree here, it does seem like "we" failed this kid.... "If" Ruff's recruitment begins to heat up, alot of shelby kids may jump over to crest. I've said this before, and the forum killed me for it.... but Crest seems to get the bigger D-1 offers, has always been that way. Unless your a hollifield.
Man....we were just starting to be friends. Then you had to go and say something like this. He is at a college almost every Saturday. He has gotten several offers. A coaching staff can only do so much and our coaching staff prides themselves in taking care of their own.
I say this literally playing for Shelby until 04. We had several players who literally thought playing at Crest, would have given them more national attention. This was before the internet though. I do understand now, things have changed, but man this guy has to be in the top 10 in cleveland county history in passing yards, and can't get any better offers?? That's crazy!

It's the QB position. It is always tough. Not alot of spots and they get chewed up quick after kids 10-11th grade year. The kid can play and he will at the next level. Silly to make it about the coaching staff. You think college recruiters forgot where Shelby is?? LMAO

Ruff got recruited to go to crest by the screen printing guy in Shelby. He always does that. You know who I'm talking about.
Yeah this whole thread is about some Crest idiot trying to throw shade on the Shelby program saying we don't push our players to colleges. If Crest was so great then why don't every player for them get a D1 offer. Why aren't colleges all across the country filled with Crest players? If your good enough you could play for Timbucktwo High and they will find you. College scouts are very good at what they do.

They weren't overlooked, Ruff would have started this year at receiver and done very well. Would he have gotten the amount of touches he has this year at Crest, no. One big reason for that we have more talent this year, that why Shelby dropped 51 on you. Then again he was promised the starting QB job for the donkeys and that didn't happen. The Borders kid is real good but wouldn't have started this year over Mitchell, Dailey, Huskey, and Ruff if he were at Shelby. Borders would have been a monster his junior and senior seasons in a passing offense.

He’s related to the quarterback. He expects FBS/Power5 schools to come rolling in, the young man has offers from Gardner Webb, Charleston Southern, and Campbell. I don’t know what the fuss is about. Those are D1 FCS schools. He has that the prototypical size, outside of that he’s no better than previous three state champion quarterbacks.
Bess also has Campbell and Gardner Webb, Fayetteville State, his mom’s alma mater.
Kid might be under recruited. I have seen him...he is an athlete more than a QB but some of that can be fixed. Could be lots of reasons for that. Too jump right too the coaching staff is ignorant, especially trying to stir it up with the Holifield stuff.
