I've never liked him, for a variety of irrelevant reasons. Today he had ample opportunity to put away Rory McIlroy, but he couldn't buy a putt. He halved his match, but every 1/2 point was critical today.

BTW, I realize how ridiculous it is to try to pin the whole Ryder Cup on just 1 guy, but he seriously gave away a 1/2 point today. Furyk kind of did, too.

That's just stupid. Did you watch any of the Ryder Cup besides the singles matches? If Cink doesnt putt the way he did we could have been behind at least 2 points. He didn't lose a match and was responsible for 2 1/2 points.

I didn't say he shouldn't have been on the team, or anything, I just hate him. He always seems to choke when the pressure is on, except of course for the one time I actually WANTED him to choke (last year's British Open).

I feel your frustration but if you want to rag someone you should get down on our veterans like WOODS, Mickelson, and Furyk ... without Cink anf Kutcher it would have been worse

Furyk was a disappointment, but Woods was 3-1-0. Plus, his 1 loss was a total blowout (6&5), so you cannot agonize over any particular shot there. He and Stricker finished 2-1 as a team, and Woods was spectacular today.

As I said, it is ridiculous to blame the cup loss on an individual, particular in the rain-altered format that required all 12 players to be on the course for all but the first round. I just already didn't like Cink, and had to watch him gag it up this morning on the greens.

Plus, he sank the pressure putt to halve that match after throwing away the earlier hole. I'm editing this, because he did more than just sink the pressure putt at the end of that match. After dropping the wrong ball (btw, its Furyk's fault he had to drop a ball anyway), he played his arse off to pull out the 1/2 point.

He needs to lose the Justin Bieber hair, though.

Outside of Furyk, the only one on the American team not to do so. He did rally in the end to tie today's match, but hardly my hero from the matches.

And playing in his first ever Ryder cup. It takes incredible nerve to fight back from dormie 3 to halve a singles match, and it took a lot for him to overcome the dropped ball gaffe to play as well as he did in the foursome match with Furyk.

Keep in mind, I'm not claiming he was the U.S. "hero of the Ryder cup" or anything, but he earned a HELL of a lot of respect for his play - and he fully justified Pavin's controversial captain's pick. He probably would not have been selected for that one match he lost but for the rain-altered format.

Hunter Mahan good lord. He is in the most important position playing in the last match and he makes 1 birdie. Seriously? 1 birdie at the ryder cup is bad....they set those courses up very easily to add excitement and he chokes. 2 down with 2 to play and he absolutely whiffs a 5 iron and chunks a chip....good playing, thanks for coming.

Big Ups to Jeff Overton. Didn't expect the rookie to do anything and he played awesome.

Rickie Fowler is the freaking man...birdies his last 4 to get a half point and give America a slight chance. He will be on 7 or 8 more teams during his career guaranteed.

And Jim Furyk you can go to hell. I understand you just won the Fedex Cup, but the guy simply cannot make birdies. Furyk always plays well on hard golf courses (Majors, Tour Championship, etc.) where 5-10 under wins. Just simply doesn't make enough birdies to compete onRyder Cup golf courses.

Bottom Line is the reason Europe dominates the Ryder Cup is in my point above, they simply make more birdies. American golf has turned into lets go make 3 birdies, 1 bogey and go home and count our money. While the Europeans have guys who shoot 75-63-72-64. Obviously we have guys like that as well, but for the most part we have the Furyk's and Kuchar's who have made a great living off of shooting 70 every time the tee it up.

Look at Padraig this week. He was shooting his 75's while his partner Ross Fisher was shooting 64.....they win 2 points. It's all about the birdies.

I didn't realize until you posted it that he only had the 1 birdie. When he got that birdie, though, it left him only 1 down with 3 to play, and he only needed a half point. From that point he started playing like me....
