I feel like NU has turned into a “live by the three, die by the three” team. In December, NU attempted less three’s than Illinois did and equaled their points in the paint in a road win that turned heads. Nebraska was playing clean basketball and limiting turnovers while creating high % shots.
Or teams are playing better, after 20+ games together. We don't have a guy that can go get a bucket. Honestly, we peaked mid season or sooner.

It's funny that the fanbase who cried when their golden child in WBB got knocked down by a court storming student... how that student should be ticketed or banished from games because their golden child couldn't take someone bumping into her is now the fanbase that finds it OK to storm the court and shove a phone in the opposing coach's face while yelling some unintelligent iowa garbage and gets the camera shoved back out of said coach's face and cries for him to be sued and arrested and suspended.... I always say the best thing to come out of Iowa is I80

Teams have access to all the game film and coaches talk to each other. It appears to me that teams like Iowa are extending their D and denying the ball. Just watch how far out we are setting up our O. That does leave them vulnerable to the backside cuts which we have taken advantage of at times. We even move our big guys out past the three point line hoping to get Mast open or pull their defense out. The problem comes in that teams have killed is on the boards and many teams have a tall athletic kid who can defend and rebound if someone manages to get around the D. We also see when we are in D that teams use lots of lob passes inside and we leave openings with our help D which leads to open looks right under the basket.
Huskers' backdoor cut game needs to improve. Right now it's too slow and too many passes are telegraphed. Our other three players (besides the passer and cutter) also need to stay active in case help comes and cuts off the cutter's path to the hoop.

Take your video over to the Iowa board if one even exists. Half our fan base doesn’t have a problem with Fred smashing a little hawk boy and the other half wishes it was you he smacked down.
Not saying this is you, but this board seems full of people who don't watch basketball. Nobody is winning if they don't hit 3s. That is literally the basis of our entire scheme. Force the other team to take contested 3s, while we take open ones. The team that makes the most usually wins. It doesn't make any sense to try to become a team that using dribble drive penetration, pick and roll, or dominant rebounding. We are going to dribble-hand off, shoot 3s until our death. Hopefully at least the 2nd game of the tournament.
