If CalPreps projections are correct, we will have a program that has won multiple championships against a first-timer in the state finals.

They are projecting:
Phoebus over Blacksburg 31-19
Staunton River over Hopewell 44-27

This same simulator in 2014 had Lafayette beating Magna Vista by alot. And in 2015 had Phoebus beating Magna Vista buy 14 I think it was. Also in 2015 had Brookville beating Magna Vista 28-14. All of those as we know did not happen. Don't put too much stock into that or any simulator as the vhsl reference had Magna Vista losing in all of those games as well....Thank goodness the kids and coaches decided to still play the games! Lol!

Just for kicks I re ran the 2014 MV and Lafayette teams in calpreps and Lafayette would still win 30-28! Lol!!
