Is anyone else worried that the whole Cam Newton saga is going to have a negative impact on our recruiting over the next couple of years?. Regardless of the outcome, I have a feeling that a lot of kids are going to think of us as "haters" and "snitches" and whatnot.

Is anyone else worried that the whole Cam Newton saga is going to have a negative impact on our recruiting over the next couple of years?. Regardless of the outcome, I have a feeling that a lot of kids are going to think of us as "haters" and "snitches" and whatnot.
I'd think most dirty recruits wouldn't ask for money until the end of the process. Those guys now won't take a single look at us, which saves us from wasting time, effort, and official visits on guys who would never have signed once they found out we wouldn't pay.</p>

Dee is talking about the NCAA, not Miss. St. I highly doubt he would call us haters while on campus. I mean, he may not be the coolest frozen dinner in the icebox but shoot, that would be absolutely asinine and a complete lapse in judgement on his part, and if he was talking about MSU then he shouldn't see a minute of action this season.

Did it ever occur to these clowns that it may end up costing us a legitimate shot at an SEC title? What's a player supposed to do? Not play his *** off? There is no difference in slavery and Cam Newton. His Dad bargained him around and he was sold. Chaney says "so what?" to that. That makes Chaney either retarded or is perfectly ok with the situation.
from Jasper OQuinn, Dominic Douglas, & Jamar last night. They all were in agreement that Cam was gettng screwed by "the Man," and that it didn't matter if he was getting money noel Dominic and Jasper even went as far as saying that college athletes should get paid.
please put this in context for me. Will it have a "negative impact on recruiting" in comparison to what? The Rockey Tech and Ten campaign? The early 2000s of "give me JUCO or give me death" philosophy? CROOM???? I'm not worried about recruiting. Our head coach shoulda woulda coulda won 7 last year with a 5'6" walk on. I'm not worried about recruiting. My only worry is our coach leaving us sooner rather than later.
