It may have been discussed already. But if Cam came to State, what type of career would he be having in the NFL?

Yep. Only difference is he would have worn a maroon jersey in the national title game instead of a blue one. I will always hate him for that.

With Cam MSU would have won the SEC and the National Championship, no question about it.

MSU Defense > Auburn Defense.
In 2010 MSU's defense was equal to Auburn's and probably slightly better with Banks, KJ Wright, Chris White, Deontae Skinner, Broomfield, Charles Mitchell, Nickoe Whitley, Fletcher Cox, Josh Boyd, Pernell McPhee, Kaleb Eulls, etc.

MSU Offense = Auburn Offense.
With Bumphis, Vick Ballard, Marcus Green, Leon Berry, Chris Smith, Brandon Heavens, Tubby Lewis, Perkins, etc. We were just as good as Auburn on Offense.

MSU Special Teams > Auburn Special Teams.
We had Brauchle, DePasquale, Hutchins, and "Christmas Tree Boy" Swedenburg on the same roster all together.

Guys it is sad to look back on and realize that we were just a one time payment of $180,000 away from a National Championship.

Cam is a game changer. i found myself asking the same/similar type question. we had a very good team the year he was at auburn and we lost to auburn by 3 that year, so there is a win right there. i could easily see us winning another game or two with that type of talent if things worked out. he was a first down machine. i say minimum BCS bowl and with a few breaks, only one loss or if we got really lucky, who knows...dare i say better.

as far as his NFL career, i say about the same. dude can straight play at any level. high school, juco, ncaa, and now playing for nfl. he is successful at every level

I get so tired of hearing that. Yeah, its possible MSU could have won the SEC with Cam, but its ridiculous to make that claim with any certainty. I don't see how we would have beaten LSU or Bama in 2010. Maybe Bama, because by then Mullen and staff would have figured out to just let Cam do his thing, but not LSU.

It took Chizik and Malzahn about six games to figure out they should just let Cam do his thing and not worry about distributing the ball around to other players. Even then they kept falling behind and having to make halftime adjustments to win games. When's the last time Mullen overcame a 17 point halftime deficit?

Or at least we would all declare him classy. And we would all be Panthers fans. And we would find his fascination with children adorable instead of creepy.

Agree. Silly to assume we would have won it all with him.

No telling but we do have a chance to maybe find out. Cam has a younger brother who will be a senior in HS this year.

Ha, given what went down with Cam I'd say the chances of signing him are slim to none. Prolly couldn't afford him anyway. Ol' cecil might ask for a cool million since the price war has heated up and he has a proven pedigree with Cam.

Didn't Auburn have to have a miraculous comeback to win the Iron Bowl that year? Down something like 21-0 at halftime? And as Dawgzilla said, they had some other close calls. The barely beat us 17-14. Auburn wouldn't have been very good without Cam.

I don't really think it's creepy; it's about his only good point, other than football talent.
