It's Belichick's way of making sure they come in dead last so he can go draft Trevor Lawrence and start another 15 year run of greatness. Nobody could accuse them of cheating, he could just point to Cam....

That actually makes a little bit of sense. Seems like a really bad fit as far as style of play and as far as personality. Only other explanation is this is Belichick's equivalent of a heat check, and he wants to see if he can adjust to win with a QB like Cam.
Figured he would have learned to not “heat check” himself after the AB fiasco last year.
He'll play enough for New England to earn a 3rd round replacement draft pick in 2022 after he signs a free agent contract to make up for the 2021 3rd round pick they're losing.
Sherman just likes to complain. Cam has been hurt and needs to prove he can play a full season before he gets paid.
I don't understand the personality comment. I'm a huge Brady fan but he started more arguments on the sidelines with teammates and coaches than Cam ever has. Only time Cam is a questionable personality for a team is when he sulks during post-game press conferences after losses. Brady has had plenty of examples of being a "baby" himself.
Even in decline, Brady’s passing numbers last year were better than Cam’s in just about any year of his career. Not sure where you are going with that. And oh yeah, NE lost at home in the first round of the playoffs, so its not like they were world beaters even with a much better passer than Cam running the show. It’s never good when you are 31 years old and a 43 year old is still topping your career best productivity in the passing department. There’s a reason why he was a free agent for almost 4 months.
At least when that first nor’easter hits he won’t hafta go out and buy a scarf

I'm not comparing the QBs other than both cant make all the throws other QBs in the league can. Brady is obviously superior even in his golden years. The point is Belichick will do what he always does, put his players in the best position to succeed. I predict Cam will have his best year as a passer in several metrics and the Pats will win the division and a minimum of 11 games and compete for a bye in the playoffs.*
