Another post got me thinking: in 2010, Cam Newton was clearly the most dominant player in college football. But at this point in the season, he was not a household name yet. We had made him look pretty average (Relf actually had better stats in our game, as I recall), and outside of Auburn and Starkville, most people didn't know how good he could be. He was arguably better known for the pay-for-play scandal at that point. So, that inspired me to make this comparison:

Cam Newton, four games into his college career at Auburn, after playing Ark St (finished 4-8), Clemson (finished 6-7), MSU and SC:

Passing: 43/68, 683 yds, 3 int, 9 TD
Rushing: 75 carries, 485 yds, 5 TD
Receiving: 1, 22 yds
APY: 1190 yds, 14 TD

Dak Prescot, through first four games of 2014, after playing Southern, UAB, USA, and LSU:

Passing: 58/96, 964 yds, 2 int, 11 TD
Rushing: 62 carries, 378 yds, 3 TD
Receiving: 1, 24 yds, 1 TD
APY: 1366 yds, 15 TD
