I don't take much from that, highly competitive people do highly competitive things. If reports are correct, he has already proved what type of leader he is by his work ethic, he is supposedly first one in and last one out of the building. A friend of mine who played under Jackie said you wouldn't believe how many fights break out during practice. Said when practice was over, 99% of the time, they were all laughing about it.
“I’ve grown up watching my dad wake up at 4:30 doing a job he didn’t like, so if I can’t wake up early and do what I need to do for a job I do like, I shouldn’t be playing football,” Ward said.

Doing the “zombie land” gesture to Simmons suggests both jackass and sumbass syndrome. On a related note, the taunting and celebrations these days is just way over the top - it’s all the time.
It also suggests a little dumbassery on Simmons part to react to a rookie gloating over a practice TD. A really great way to get yourself on the **** list with coaches and management is to **** with the starting QB in practice.

Goo lord. People make a mountain out of a molehill. I doubt Simmons has anything to worry about. This is all a big nothing.

I've often wondered what happens to the last guy to leave the building. Does he lock up? What happens when another player decides they want to be the last guy to leave the building? Are there forever two people that now never leave the building?

If you're going to be the man, you gotta beat the man or at least demonstrate you are willing to stand up to him.

Simmons is THE man.

and Ward is no dumbass.

The old saying "His mouth is writing a check that the rest of his body can't cash". He will find out during the year when he is not wearing a red jersey if he continues to do that.
