I'd rather vote Wiseman, but, if I understand things correctly, Cox has a much better shot. Camp is an absurd jackass.

what is the reason to vote for camp? the only thing he's done that affects me is the sale of cold beer... which in my opinion, was going to happen anyway

"Biggest landowner" comment came from some kid who writes for The Reflector. There are folks who own far more property (land) and properties (buildings) than Camp. Just look at some of these huge rental complexes in town. At least Camp has built a great neighborhood from a bad part of town that he likes enough to actually make his home in. These other property owners wouldn't dare live in what they have built.

Experience matters and Cox ain't got it. Lost the only job he ever had. Someone needs to look into why IP let him go. Wiseman has never had a job. Lists his NC grad school education as experience. Camp has experience in spades. Has done a great job as mayor.

Starkville would be so lucky to have someone of Parker's leaderdship and vision. Parker is someone who will sit in the same room and communicate with all groups, businessmen, university leaders, church groups and citizens. Outside of what MSU does, Starkville is not doing well. Yea it is growing because of MSU, but there are no new jobs coming in, the schools are becoming borderline, the streets are atrocious. The current leadership is very divisive and does not know how to communicate.

Let's see what has Camp done: saved a million bucks in taxpayer money, gotten curbside recycling, road bonds, worked to get major developers to start projects here, no smoking ordinance, improved city services such as making sure we have electrical system that doesn't have lights going out every week as in previous administrations, provided water to annexed areas, building a new electric dept building, great spokesperson for city, started Cotton District Festival, night shuttle, more eateries and drinkeries, TIF district, ......... I could go on and on but my hand is tired.

No one could stand to stay in a room to listen to this guy. He sounds like a Pentacostal preacher who has had way too much coffee. Comes across as an a very angry, pessimestic young man. His platform sounds like one of a person who is running for Congress not Mayor.

And he may not be the largest landowner in town, but he employes the largest landowner i.e. Lynne Spruill.

I would laugh in Dan Camp's face if he ever claimed the Nite Route. That idea was from the Student Association, and Dan only allowed it to be fully funded in the past year or so. Also, I dont know if I would be bragging about the Cotton District. It looks like crap now, and ask anyone who rents from Dan Camp how friendly, approchable and "good spokesman" he is. In short, Dan Camp isnt going to do anything that isnt good for his bank account.

And I was proving you wrong. I know job title and experience aren't the same thing. And no one wants to hear you preaching about your love affair for your great great grandfather, Dan Camp. Give it up kid.

Seems to be the most Byrne-esque of the three, at least when it comes to catching up with how the rest of the world does things. Went to law school with Parker and have spent time with Camp, and it's hard to really imagine either of them being mayor of Starkville, at least not in modern times.

This guy does more flip-flopping than Flipper the Dolphin. Doesn't take a stand on anything. Tells folks what he thinks they want to hear. So full of double speak even he can't keep his story straight. Contradicts himself at least once in every conversation he has.

Cox is a snake. He's notorious for bringing issues to the table and trying to get other aldermen to vote a certain way, then changing his standing completely. ANY of the other guys are better candidates than Matt Cox. Hell, he's my parents' alderman and when there was some neighborhood issue going on all of the other aldermen and Camp got in touch with my mother via e-mail or phone, except Matt Cox.

give me a break. D Camp knows nothing about keeping the lights on. That credit goes to the folks at Starkville Electric for moving forward despite the politics.

...Dan Camp is a raging jackass. I rented from him for 3 years and I've been contemplating throwing a brick through the windshield of that piece of **** Benz he creeps around in. I will say that he has made the Cotton District look great and really given Starkville something unique and attractive. However, he is just a generally arrogant and unfriendly person, and his places are genearlly pieces of **** b/c he cuts so many corners when building them. Also, he needs to get rid of that gay *** "Life is Good" hat he wears around with his suit on, he looks like a damn fool.

His sons are total douchebags as well. Robert thinks he's the **** and thats why he got his *** knocked out at the Bin a while back. Bon is a social <17>ing retard and creeps all the girls out. Mrs. Camp can actually be very nice most of the time, she's the only thing the family has going for it.

Man, I sound like a really angry person. Oh well.

I rented from Crabtree when I was in school. My sister-in-law was looking for a place to live. She found a house but Crabtree owned it. I told her not to but she moved in anyway. Those people are a bunch of <17>tards. She has regretted for awhile now. Most of the people that rent in Starkville just try to screw the students as much as possible.

I said the guy was a jackass. Have you ever tried to talk to him? Every single day he would ride by my house and I would wave at him. Everyday I would get the same blak stare. Also, he basically brought a girl I was dating at the time to tears by yelling at her when she asked him to fix one of the numerous things that was wrong with their house.

There was a PVC pipe LITERALLY spitting my neighbors sewage (****, tampons, toilter paper) out into our yard and only after 3 trips to his office did he come dump limestone powder on it. Nice fix, Dan. Oh and this happened twice. JACKASS.
You apparently have a lot to learn as well...like don't make stupid assumptions.
