I think/hope that Greg B, will fire Woody and at least force Croom to make some change. This might be the only way to get through to his stubborn ***. Because I still do not think we will fire him 1 year after a bowl victory and the fact that he was the first AA coach in the SEC.

this cluster17 you need to find something else to do with your Saturdays. Everybody in the profession(can you say Ellis Johnson) is on to the fact that Croom is in 1 million miles over his head now and he would never ever be able to hire a good coordinator to ride the Slytanic down the tubes with him. Our problems are much deeper than one coordinator.

From the post game PC transcript...........

After Dixon's long run, was there time to put another running back in? "Well, the problem is, down there, we were going to try to run the football in. And to be honest with you, he's the only one strong enough to get it in down there. We've tried that other before. With him off the ball, trying to ram it in there, down in that area of the field, I didn't feel that that would be to our advantage. There's no question he was tired. You know, he got that run, I was listening for the play. That's on me. I was starting to put (Robert Elliott) in there and then I called what the play was, I wasn't going to put him in there on that particular play."

...as told to me by someone that was at the press conference, is that Croom was going to send Elliott in until he heard the play call from McCorvey. Knowing that that play had little success in practice with Elliott as opposed to Dixon, he chose to leave Dixon in.

Just looking at he, looks like he called it.

However I wasn't in the room. But it sure looks like he called it when you read that.

If McCorvey, and possibly other assistants, get fired at the end of the season, Croom might be so offended that he decides to negotiate a reduced buyout and resign.

is that neither Croom nor Woody actually had the sense to call a play that didn't "require" Dixon to be in the game. i don't care if it was Woody or Croom who made the initial or final call because they both could have seen clearly that Dixon was winded.

If Woody made the call: Croom should have said call something else. Dixon is coming out.

If Croom made the call: Croom is an idiot and Woody was sitting up there reading comic books.

Either way, Croom is an idiot.

and let his big back catch his breath while he discussed the play with his OC and made sure they were on the same page.

I agree that we have bigger problems, But a new OC would be a start to helping the program. And everyone knows that, and its happening.
