came from last night? These guys are killing us on this crap. We had 10 mins XT, total, in the Ghana match. Granted, the first half (5 Mins) was warranted, but definitely not the second.

each sub is about 30 seconds - i thought 5 min was a bit much last night.

can't remember how many subs there were.

I thought it was BS too. At the end of the first half, when they were winning, we got a whopping 2 minutes of stoppage time...and that was after a damn water break.

I'd read the Zusi sub was really slow and that's where it came from. I honestly can't remember it taking a minute, but so be it.

There were 4 total substitutions and 2 goals scored (other than the last one) in the 2nd half. Throw in the odd injury and I don't think 5 minutes was entirely unreasonable. More than usual? Yes. Unreasonable? Not really.

The Zusi sub was slow, but not unusually slow. I don't think that was any reason for adding more time than you would for a normal sub. If you look at the replay, the 4th referee announces 5 minutes of stoppage time WHILE Zusi is coming off the field.

Taylor Twellman tweeted that there was originally supposed to be 4 minutes

of stoppage time, but the referee added another minute because Zusi took so long getting off the field for the substitution. When he finally came off the field, I believe the clock was at 91:30, so we really had to defend for just 3:30 to win the game. Lots of reasons we blew the lead last night, but blaming it on the amount of stoppage time is a weak excuse. I thought the game was very well officiated.
